Roger Casellas

Having grown up in Puerto Rico close to the water, Roger Casellas, President of Yacht Center of the Caribbean, naturally found his attraction to the boating and fishing industry. After returning to Puerto Rico in 1996 with a business degree from Saint Louis University, Roger found his way back to warm weather and to the ocean.

Right away, he got involved in fishing tournament committees, was elected to the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Sportfish Association and became a USCG Licensed Captain. All of the above, helped him bring together responsibility and commitment to his passion for boats; which today he feels is instrumental in combining his love for boats with his professional career. Roger gained his broker experience by working as a salesman and service coordinator for renowned brokerage firms in P.R., as well as directing Allied Richard Bertram Marine Group’s sales division for Latin America. In 2006, Roger founded Yacht Center of the Caribbean, which today represents U.S. custom boatbuilders, such as F&S Boatworks and Jersey Cape Custom Yachts, in the Caribbean and Latin America regions. Vessels manufactured by the above mentioned builders range from 31-82 feet. Yacht Center also focuses in developing the market for Maritimo in Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, as well as coordinating a complete brokerage service organization.

The latest Yacht Center deliveries have received international acclaim throughout various tournaments and publications. The most recent, the F&S Boatworks “Bandolera” 72 and 70 Enclosed Bridge "Lasik" both true 45+ knot battlewagens that combine cold-molded construction with a great longitudinally stepped hull design. In addition, the 36’ Jersey Cape "Paciencia", which epitomizes the builder’s standards of superb quality and Maritimo 500 Offshore “Marie” which plans to fish the West Coast of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

Yacht Center has expanded it's sales and service network into frequently visited destinations like Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Caribbean Islands. In March 2009 Yacht Center inagurated it's new main office in City View Plaza II, Guaynabo, PR, overlooking the Bay and El Morro, only minutes away from the marinas in San Juan.
